With the effects of COVID-19, we hope that everyone is doing their best by staying safe indoors. We all should do our part to reduce the spread of this pandemic.
A silver lining to the many hours parents and children are spending together at home is the ability to grow closer together as a family! We all know this can be challenging though. Dishes pile up, television is constantly running, and let’s be honest, we all might get on each other’s nerves just a little bit more than usual.
Thankfully, FamJam has been able to help many users make the most of the time spent together indoors! Here are the top 5 ways families like yours have been keeping behaved, organized, and productive with the use of FamJam:

I have been trying to find a good chores outline that can work on my Apple devices and my kids’ Android apps. There surprisingly aren’t THAT many that would work for both. The ones I found, they are not designed very well and surely wouldn’t give my family what we needed as far as being able to track chores, habits, and behaviors along with giving rewards on a SUPER CUTE platform!
I do wonder if there is a separate app for the kids. I haven’t been able to find one just yet. I’d like for my oldest son, with ADHD, to be able to just focus on what HE has going on, what HE needs to get done and what is expected of HIM. If there is any way to click on something else within an app, he will try and I don’t want to have to lock everything up. That “enter pin” page on most things might effect him negatively as far as feelings are concerned, but I also know he is quite the “tester of boundaries”. I also know he will try to say he’s “finished” and “completed” a task, but I have to check behind him each and every time. Haha!
I figure having him held accountable where he can see what is expected of him verses my lists and verbal statements will help him. He may be able to and might even WANT to add new chores once he gets the hang of things between this app and homeschooling in the first year. Sooner would be even cooler, if you know what I mean.
I actually REALLY like the points system between kids. We can all be a bit competitive, but healthy competition over who is acting the best behaviorally, doing all of their chores, and practicing good habits is TOTALLY okay in my book! There is an 8 year gap between my boys, but I can still tailor which items are on there and how many points are used etc.
Is there a kids app? One that I can edit and approve everything from the parent app? Between homeschooling curriculums, lesson planning, two kids, the house, trying to stay on top of everything all the time, having one centralized device and the ease of adding everything in and editing as necessary and approving remotely would be the absolute BEST thing regarding the household and how things are run here. Mama needs this!
I’ll spend some more time trying to figure out a way to make it all work, since I believe I’ve found the app I wish to use regarding these matters in the weeks I’ve been comparing apps and sites for everything I have to handle!
Thank you, Fam Jam! This is REALLY going to help me out!
